Two great football related competitions have been arranged over the weekend of 1st & 2nd August 2009.
On Saturday 1st August, a quiz night will be held in Amici. This will attended by all of the clubs taking part in the football tournament to be held on 2nd August. Entry fee is $200 per team (2-4pp).
A charity football tournament has been organised to be held on 2nd August at King’s Park, where you will be able to watch supporters based in Hong Kong wearing the famous colours of eight UK football teams going head to head for the first time. The teams being lined up to play include Liverpool FC (Hong Kong Reds), Newcastle, Manchester Utd, Chelsea, West Ham, Arsenal, Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers. The day will feature a 6-a-side competition with football flowing freely from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The event is to attend, but there will also be an opportunity to contribute to a cancer charity during the day with fundraising plans arranged to raise as much money as possible. The chosen charity that is being supported is Camp Quality, which is a children’s cancer charity based in Hong Kong - www.campquality.org.hk
