Code Of Conduct

Upon joining the Liverpool FC Official Supporters Club Hong Kong Expatriate Branch (LFCOSCHKEB), all members shall abide by the Code of Conduct as laid down by the Committee.

Furthermore, each LFCOSCHKEB member is expected to uphold the good name of Liverpool FC.

Any breach of the Code of Conduct shall render members liable to action by the Committee and, if necessary, by Liverpool FC.

Equality
LFCOSCHKEB aims to promote a welcoming, inclusive and open environment through all of its activities and interactions. All members are expected to share this principle and embrace equality and inclusivity. LFCOSCHKEB is open to Liverpool FC supporters irrespective of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, age, gender reassignment, pregnancy/maternity and marriage/civil partnership.

Safeguarding Matters
LFCOSCHKEB recognises the importance of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and that these individuals and groups have the right to take part in all LFCOSCHKEB activities without risk of abuse, neglect or mistreatment.

Members are expected to share the commitment to safeguarding and act in accordance with the principles of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Members are required to:

  • be responsible for their own conduct and ensure that their actions would not call a “reasonable person” to question their behaviour or intentions when taking part in activities which involve children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
  • comply with all the relevant legislation and statutory frameworks in place and adhere to the applicable safeguarding regulations as laid down by section S of the FA Premier League Rules (download link from the Premier League)
  • raise any genuine concerns they have related to the safety or welfare of a child/children, young people or vulnerable adults without delay.

Social Media and Digital Communications

LFCOSCHKEB members must interact on social media and in digital communications in a polite and respectful manner.
This includes communications with LFCOSCHKEB committee members.
Written or verbal abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This includes tone of voice, tone of digital communication and choice of words/images.
LFCOSCHKEB reserves the right to cancel the membership of any member that does not interact on social media with respect for all.

Disciplinary Policy

Should a LFCOSCHKEB member breach any part of the Code of Conduct then the following action will be taken:

  • Written Warning
    This will be issued if the offence(s)/conduct of a member does not meet the acceptable standard(s) expected of a member
  • Final Warning
    Issued if there is no satisfactory improvement in conduct or if the misconduct is serious enough to warrant only one warning – this will be both first and final
  • Cancellation of membership
    This will occur if there is persistent breach of the provisions of this Code of Conduct or for an act of misconduct or negligence which includes without limitation:
    • Engaging in any conduct which is racist, homophobic or abusive or any other discriminatory behaviour in relation to, but not limited to, the following characteristics:
      age; disability; gender; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion or belief; sexual orientation; or offensive chanting
    • Disorder – fighting, aggressive behaviour or physical assault
    • Abuse/ aggression towards LFC staff, players and Legends (including verbal or physical abuse)
    • Ticketing – any use of tickets other than for your sole use; touting; misuse of tickets or misuse of concessions; breaches of ticketing terms and conditions
    • Membership – breach or suspected breach of Liverpool FC Official Membership terms and conditions

Conclusion

While LFCOSCHKEB members bring diverse opinions on all aspects related to the business of the LFCOSCHKEB, we are committed to respecting each other and reaching a consensus on all matters. We are determined to act justly and are bound by this Code of Conduct to deliver outcomes that are in the best interests of everyone associated with the LFCOSCHKEB. All LFCOSCHKEB members are part of the Liverpool FC Official Supporters Club Branch Network and therefore must uphold the values and good name of Liverpool FC. LFCOSCHKEB members are expected to be exemplary representatives of Liverpool FC and as such are asked to follow this Code of Conduct. All LFCOSCHKEB members shall treat fellow Liverpool FC supporters, as well as supporters of other football clubs, with courtesy and respect. No supporters shall threaten another football fan or sing offending chants toward other supporters. No member shall degrade or commit an act of violence on any other person while attending matches at Anfield, away matches or any LFCOSCHKEB event. Any violation of the Code of Conduct by a LFCOSCHKEB member could result in expulsion from the LFCOSCHKEB.
